South Africa: Reaction Unit South Africa rescued the driver trapped in the wreckage of a silver Toyota Fortuner on Sunday. The vehicle crashed several meters down an embankment on the M27 near Waterloo – KZN.

The officials have shared that the Reaction Unit officers received the call of assistance from the driver at approximately 21:16 hours. The reaction officers were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance to the driver.

The officials have shared that they reached the site of the accident and then discovered the vehicle lying on its side. The vehicle was several metres below the road when the team reached the site of the crime.

The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the incident. He was trapped in the wreckage. The reaction officers contacted the Ethekwini Fire & Rescue Services for assistance. The rescue team arrived shortly thereafter and extracted the driver.

The circumstances leading up to the incident have not been confirmed. The victim has been taken to the hospital for treatment. The investigation has also started. Meanwhile, the country’s people have shared their disappointment over the accident.

Some social media users have blamed the driver, who claimed that he could have been drunk at the time of the incident. The traffic accident happened after the driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with an embankment on the roadside of Waterloo—KZN.

One of the social media users, who knew the victim as an acquaintance, expressed his concern about the driver’s well-being. He announced that the victim was a friend of her employer.

The social media user also claimed that the victim was a good person who did not drink or smoke. He confirmed that he’s a God-fearing person, so what happened to him can happen to anybody.

He believes that the incident happened because the victim lost control of his vehicle.
