Saint Lucia: The Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia Ernest Hilaire, Minister Emma Hippolyte, several other members of the Cabinet, and government officials attended the opening ceremony of the Independence Business Expo, which was held to mark Saint Lucia’s 44th Independence Anniversary.
This year the Business Expo was hosted by Export Saint Lucia, where their motive is to highlight several small businesses to medium businesses, and they also focused on creative productions by our very own over the two-day expo in the city centre, said Minister Ernest Hilaire on his Facebook post.
Business Expo not only focused on businesses but also gave importance to the talent which people displayed in their work in the City Of Castries and also listened to the sweet early Jazz music.
The first day of the Business Expo was brilliant, and the ESL administration also shared a glimpse of the event on their official page, where they captioned, “Can you tell how successful the first day of the Independence Business Expo was? If you weren’t able to attend, you still have the opportunity to attend the last day on Friday, the 17th.”
Taiwan Saint Lucia’s official Twitter page also shared pictures in which Ambassador and Mrs Chen joined Emma Hippolyte, Minister for Commerce, Manufacturing, Business Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs, and Hon. Jeremiah Norbert, Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly, to visit Saint Lucia Business Expo at Constitution Park.

Furthermore, several small and medium business owners took to social media to express their pleasure over the success of the first day of the event. Sweet Helen is a small business owner who provides Luxurious Bath and Body products, from dessert soaps to body souffle, body polish, and so much more.
Saint Lucians praised that soap a lot by saying, “it smells as good as they look and can be perfect gifts for you and yours. We cater to both personal and business needs.
CEO of EXPORT St. Lucia also extended an invitation to her alma mater to attend the Independence Business Expo.
Saint Lucia Politician Jeremiah Norbert also visited Constitution Park and the Business expo. He said he was pleased to see the Rural Women’s Network (Micoud cluster) representing their authentic “MICOUD” chocolate.
“I was also impressed with the number of local products (especially soaps and beauty products ) on display and how eye-catching the presentation of these products was, said Norbert.
He also stated, “The future of business in Saint Lucia looks promising. Our people have “ting”. They have “ting”, more than Irish Spring.”
