Senegal: Soccer star Sadio Mané is adding something new to his long-standing commitment to develop his hometown, Bambaly. A major agro-industrial project is expected to begin that promises to create thousands of jobs by strengthening agricultural production in southern Senegal.
Mané has his own officially registered company named as ‘SM10Agro’ which will help in developing the Bambaly Agro-Industrial Park in the Sédhiou region. The project will be initiated at over 500 hectares land area and will focus on the fruit production and processing. The company will also create a new agricultural and economic hub in the Casamance region.
As soon it gets fully operational, the facility is expected to process up to 50,000 tonnes of fruit annually. To process them, they support smooth working for which they will generate over 2,500 direct jobs.
These employment opportunities are mainly expected to benefit young people from the local community. It will potentially boost significant economic activity and reduce unemployment in the region.
This initiative is greatly supported by the Al Nassr FC and received investment. In Bambaly, the soccer club has funded several infrastructure and social development projects over the years.
Earlier in 2025, Senegalese footballer Sadio Mané confirmed that he was financing large-scale development initiatives that aims at improving living conditions in his hometown.

According to the reports shared by the Sports Journalist – Fabrizio Romano these projects will include various works, such as:
- A fully equipped hospital
- A modern school
- 4G internet connectivity
- A post office
- A petrol station
- A stadium
Mané is a sportsperson and knows well how to keep his promises. He has personally financed the facilities as a part of his continued efforts to support the community that played a significant role in his early life. Previously, he also contributed to road construction and educational initiatives in Bambaly.
Furthermore, the footballer monthly provides allowance of €70, i.e. equivalent to approx. 45,916 FCFA. Details of the reported programme were confirmed independently. The soccer player has turned his success into hope for thousands.
Investments by Mané are now extending beyond social infrastructure to economic development with the growth of Bambaly Agro-Industrial Park. The project has the potential to transform local agriculture, strengthen fruit production and its processing. Also, it will create new business and employment opportunities across Casamance.
