Saint Lucia: Philip J Pierre recently reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of his government to providing the necessary support to the manufacturing and service sectors. The support is essential for continued expansion of the sector which contributes to the nations economic well-being and prosperity.
Saint Lucia recently hosted a partnership trade show in collaboration with the Taiwan Embassy in Saint Lucia. This is the sixteenth edition of the annual event which is held in line with the government’s commitment to highlighting trade and business sector of the country.
The Prime Minister delivered a brief yet significant address on the occasion. The prime minister also shared some glimpses from the event on his social media account. He shared that they are working to create a new generation of indigenous business people.
The government aims to achieve this through the Youth Economy, the MSME Loan-Grant Facility and other initiatives by this administration.
The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia encouraged citizens to seize these opportunities and to play their part in the development of our beloved country. In his address, the minister of finance shared his excitement on being a part of the sixteenth edition of the annual initiative,
Philip J Pierre also accorded all he attendants of the trade show a warm welcome. Later, he spoke about the vast array of plans that the Ministry of Finance has for the future of the country. He said that this is not just an event. It is a testament to the friendship that between (our) two nations and the desire to develop our people.
On this occasion, the people involved in the manufacturing sector were in the focus. The government, according to the prime minister, wants to convert the sector. The aim is that the people can create a new generation of indigenous business people.
