Botswana: Serowe District Council is currently undertaking the construction of five (5) block paved internal roads in Serowe West Constituency. The construction of the roads will total five (5) kilometers in total.
These roads are intended to improve accessibility to key areas in our various communities. The construction project will include the following roads:
- The Sebina Kgotla access road
- The route from St. Gabriel Primary School to Modikwana Ward
- The access road to Kadimo Clinic
- The Cemetery access road in Mmashoro Village
Yadah Logistics (Pty) Ltd has been awarded the Earthworks Contract for these roads. The budget will with an allocated budget of P3,407,021.10. The construction phase commenced on December 19, 2023, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2024.
The Serowe District Council shared glimpses of ongoing works in the country. The officials have shared that the project will benefit the people of the district and introduce the developments into the infrastructure.
The officials involved in the construction of the road project are extremely excited about the development.
The District has signed Contracts with fourteen (14) Artisans who are doing the paving works for these roads. As of the latest project progress update, all access roads have achieved an average completion rate of 85%.
This indicates favorable progress in the construction, with a high likelihood of meeting the specified completion date. The project will improve the mobility and connectivity between the various areas of the district.
The project is being hosted under the Constituency Community Programme. The people of the country are happy to be informed of the project’s development. They encouraged the community to keep working and supporting the developmental initiative.
