Tonota District Council shares updates on community projects

Botswana: The Tonota District Council is currently conducting community projects for the district’s people. The Tonota district administration has started paving the pipeline road for the Seroto ward. Further, the poverty alleviation and housing project has also started operations.

The officials of the district council took to their social media accounts to share the latest updates regarding the projects. The road paving project which has started recently will conclude within three months and may disrupt ease of transportation for the affected length of the road, for the duration of the project.

The officials have shared that the workers will be paving 300 Meters of the roads. The project will help beautify the district and employ three artisans for three months.

The artisans will pave 100 meters of the road each, with the aim of completing the project within the specified timeline. The authorities have shared the images of the road where the project is currently ongoing. They have started the process and accordingly relayed to the road users to remain careful while using the particular stretch of the road.

The Tonota district council wrote in their social media: The public is advised to drive with caution when approaching the area and adhere to signage.

Meanwhile, in another development, the Tonota District Council SHHA Committee paid a visit to the poverty alleviation and housing project.

The newly operational facility is expected to give homes and residences to a number of beneficiaries of the poverty alleviation programme. The Committee which visited the settlement was led by its Chairman Samora Gabaake. They interacted with the residents engaged in the project to appreciate the ongoing brick-laying production.

The authorities expressed that they were satisfied by the pace of the production and appreciated the personnel for their hard work and dedication.

The locals of Tonota District are happy with the developments in the region and are extremely interested in getting regular updates about the projects.
