Popular African artist Winky D has conducted a New Year concert that has been applauded by all. The concert was organised to celebrate the completion of 20 years of the artist in the industry on December 31, 2023.
Considering the achievement, the artist has shared a heartfelt note on his official social media handle.
While sharing the note, the renowned artist wrote, “Some music has more roads to the heart, and indeed some music catalogues last longer distances.”
He added to the note that it was very inspiring to perform at HICC. “This was my inspiring feeling at the HICC.”
“As such, allow me to take this time to register my deepest and heartfelt gratefulness for your presence and support over the past 20 years, which culminated in the successful hosting of the ‘2 Decades of Ghettocraft’ concert,” wrote Winky D.
The artist also mentioned that the fans were very generous and supported him every time. “Your generosity is truly inspiring. It was a privilege to have your multitude as guests and your energetic presence contributed to the event’s unique spectacle and elegance.”
“Your boundless cheerfulness and delightful engagement with my musical catalogue will forever be distinctive in how it made this event a memorable part of my journey in music,” expressed the African singer.
At the end of the note, he wishes that all have a special time. “I hope you all had a special time on this day.”
Over 10K people attended the concert to see the man performing on stage. Surprisingly, no promotion was done. No promotion through TV ads or Radio jingles were used to promote the concert.
It was purely a celebration of 20 years and people’s love that made him this huge star.
Not only fans but artists such as Jah Prayzah and close associate Magic Wacho were also present at Winky D’s Ghettocracy show.
