Saint Lucia: The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre has applauded the people of Soufriere for their solidarity and strength as they deal with the aftermath of the Hurricane Beryl. Saint Lucia was one of the island nations which was affected by the Hurricane Beryl, damaging much infrastructure within the community.
The parliamentary representative of Soufriere appreciated the Prime Minister for extending his support to the community in the time of their need. The member of the Parliament said that his community wants to make sure that they rise from the ashes like a phoenix.
Several buildings within the Soufriere community have suffered extensive damage as a result of the accident. After the passage of the level four Hurricane, the government has been assisting the community in bouncing back.
The members of the community have appreciated that PM Pierre was present to help them in rebuilding. The member of the parliament for Soufriere constituency, Emma Hippolyte was very impressed by the community who came together in the time of adversary.
He said that the community has always had a knack for uniting in the face of a crisis and rise to the occasion for the collective responsibility of the community. The Prime Minister reached the community to overse and assist in the cleanup and clearing of debris from Soufriere.
He met the member of the parliament for Soufriere and her team and ascertained the needs of the community, Taking to his social media, PM Philip J Pierre appreciated MP Emma Hippolyte for her service to her constituents.
He claimed that he is standing with all the members of his government in the ongoing recovery effort in the Aftermath of the Hurricane Beryl. The PM appreciated the compassion and community spirit displayed by the residents of Soufriere.
The community’s support during this time of adversity is a testament to our resilience as a people. The people of Soufriere came together for the recovery of the community after the major crisis that has recently hit them.
