St Kitts: The Ministry of Health in St Kitts and Nevis, under the leadership of Dr Terrance Drew has officially launched the Mental Health Service System Enhancement Project. The initiative is being launched in collaboration with the Republic of China (Taiwan).
The country’s leadership has shared some images from the event on their social media The Prime Minister also recalled that the Republic of China, Taiwan have been supporting developmental mandates in the federation for over four decades.
The leaders have shared tha the mental health support is one of the most overlooked yet crucial aspect of healthcare in St Kitts and Nevis. The members of the Ministry of Health have shared that the nation has been supporting mental health initiatives in the federation for years.
Previously, the nation recalled that the Republic of China (Taiwan) had collaborated with the Nevis Health department for the rebranding of the “Behavioural Health and Wellness Centre”. The organization has shared that they want to make sure focus can return to mental in the country.
Mental health, according to many experts, is one of the most overlooked and unseen part of overall healthcare. Issues like Depression, PTSD and more are not given the adequate attention that they deserve.
As such the Mental Health Service System Enhancement Project will help the Ministry of Health in providing mental health services to people in need. The Prime Minister is proud to see the leaders
This transformative initiative aims to strengthen mental health care by expanding resources, building capacity for mental health professionals, and improving access to services across St. Kitts and Nevis.
