Cape Town is going to host the Earthshot Prize Week 2024. Considering the same, the city has selected Table Mountain and DHL Stadium as the venue for the event.
As per the sources, the Table Mountain and the DHL Stadium will light up green in the evenings from Monday, November 04, 2024 to Wednesday, November 06, 2024.
It is a colourful, yet very thoughtful way to captivate the tourists towards the iconic attarctions. It is also a good way to celebrate all the climate innovations that will happen in the Mother City during the Earthshot Prize Week 2024.
It is for the first time that the African Continent ‘Cape Town’ is hosting the prestigious Earthshot Week. The Week consists of Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony that will cordially welcome the Prince of Wales.
Earthshot Prize Week 2024
The Earthshot Prize was founded by Prince William (UK), four years ago in 2020. And now, it has become a powerful global search engine for unearthing the most innovative climate and environmental solutions of the world.
It is a great honour for South Africa that the Earthshot Prize annual celebration will be held here in 2024. As previously it was hosted lavishly in Singapore (2023), Boston (2022) and the very first edition was observed in London (2021).
Notably, the Earthshot Week will be filled with the presence of international and community leaders, entrepreneurs, environmental experts, young people and the current and previous Earthshot Finalists for a series of thought leadership events.
The three-day eve, will also consider networking with the like minded people and will provide an opportunity to receive mentorship and high-level dialogues on critical solutions to restore and maintain the planet ‘Earth’.
Moreover, the awards ceremony will feature various major events such as Earthshot+, which will a day dedicated only to the thought-provoking conversations on Tuesday, November 05, 2024.
The segment will also include the Eartshot Prize finalists and the Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony on the following day i.e. on Wednesday, November 06, 2024.
