Mauritius: A four-day regional training workshop on satellite crop monitoring using the crop watch innovating system, under the Crop Watch Innovative Cooperation Programme (ICP) for Africa, is being held from 07 to 10 August 2023 at the Ambre Hotel in Belle Mare. 

Mauritius: A site visit was organised by the Central Water Authority (CWA) yesterday at Belle Mare to take stock of the progress of works regarding the ongoing in-house Pipe Replacement Programme currently being undertaken between Belle Mare and Palmar.

Mauritius: Registered planters will benefit from free seedlings, compensation schemes, and subsidies in two weeks’ time to rehabilitate and restart their plantations, stated the Attorney-General, Minister of Agro-Industry and Food Security, Mr Maneesh Gobin, following a site visit today, in the regions of Belle Mare and Trou d’Eau Douce, to take stock of damages in the fields, post cyclone Freddy and the recent heavy rainfall.

Mauritius: Phase one of the Beach Management Plan at the Belle Mare public beach, being spearheaded by the Beach Authority, was launched by the Minister of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change, Mr Kavydass Ramano, on Friday, 02 December 2022.
