Dominica: Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, received a group from the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) led by its Executive Director, Dr Laura Elena Carrillo Cubillas, and extended a warm welcome on March 23, 2022.
A batch of 58 Fisheries Protection Officers were awarded Recognition Certificates for their dedication and commitment in the combat against illegal fishing by Sudheer Maudhoo- Minister of Blue Economy, Marine Resources, Fisheries and Shipping on Wednesday.
Mauritius: Bad Weather Allowance is payable to registered fishermen who have not been able to go fishing due to bad weather conditions. Fishermen are, nevertheless, encouraged to do alternative activities, such as mending their nets and repairing their boats when they are not involved in fishing activities.
Mauritius: A group of 130 fishermen received their certificate and Artisanal Fisher Registration Cards, and Shrimp Net Licences after successfully completing the General Course for Fisher yesterday, at the Mauritius Maritime Training Academy, in Pointe aux Sables.
