South Africa: During his State of the Province Address in February this year, Premier Mxolisi Dukwana had this to say: “The multibillion rands Virginia Gas project by Renergen is beginning to change our economic fortunes. A feasibility study will be undertaken for the creation of a Special Economic Zone to maximize beneficiation from the gas extraction and related industries in the Virginia area.”

South Africa: The Matjhabeng Parliamentary Constituency Office in Welkom, led by the Minister of Social Development --- Lindiwe Zulu and Chief Whip of the NCOP ---- Seiso Mohai --- supported by the Sector Education Training Authorities (SETAs), higher education institutions and the local municipality of Matjhabeng, did a Parliamentary Outreach Programme, for the Advancement of Youth Opportunities, which forms part of the nationwide Youth Month commemorations.
