Africa:Â Limpopo Provincial Government Africa Day commemoration held at Onkgopotse Tiro hall at the University of Limpopo Turfloop campus in collaboration with the University and National Department of Sport, Arts and Culture under the theme ‘ Strengthening Resilience in Nutrition and Food Security on the African Continent.
Premier Stanley Mathabatha, when delivering his main address, made a clarion call to all African leaders to be united and establish food security and nutrition in Africa. “We are here as the children of this African Soil to engage each other on the route to take in order to deliver Africa to its promised land that is free from hunger, malnutrition and starvation’ said Premier Mathabatha.
To wrap up the celebrations of the day, An Africa Day Dialogue on finding a lasting holistic solution to the challenge of Africa’s human migration and nutrition will take place as well as the National Anthem Choral music festival.

The University of Limpopo also tweeted that they are pleased to launch the Gender desk office tomorrow, May 18 2022, at the Onkgoptse Tiro Hall, and the time of the event is 10H00. The Gender Desk office will administer gender-related services to the entire university community.Â

The launch is in collaboration with Netball South Africa to create awareness and mobilise communities in order to support the forthcoming 2023 Netball World Cup.Â
