This programme highlighted the rich cultural experiences of the region, with world-class wine offerings and iconic landscapes, by showcasing the Western Cape as a destination that offers a world in one place.
This historic engagement formed part of the ongoing efforts to connect with the Indian market and advance the mission of unlocking access to new international audiences.

Through, SA20, and in the lead-up to the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup, the region continues to strengthen its position as a leading hub for sport tourism, culture and adventure, by creating meaningful exposure and long-term impact.
Along with this, the Wesgro officials are looking forward to welcoming the global cricket community to Cape Town and the Western Cape in 2027.
Reportedly, the launch of SA20 Season-4 event in India was an initiative, especially designed to strengthen the partnership between SA20 and the Western Cape. This aimed to position the province as a premier travel destination for the Indian market by leveraging the popularity of cricket.
Main objective of the trip was to move beyond just cricket, focusing on tourism, trade and investment, that highlighted the Western Cape as a ‘World in One Province’.
Further, India is recognised as a key growth market for Western Cape tourism, with Wesgro actively looking to increase direct flights and tourism from the region.
