Buganda: A delegation of Buganda Women Leaders who went to South Africa to attend the Family Conference has returned safely home this morning.
The women were led by Hon. Prosperous Nankindu Kavuma, Minister of Social Development and Office of the Queen.
When they arrived at the airport in Ntebe, Hon, prosperous Nankindu Kavuma, said they had returned safely, confirmed that they had done the job, and were satisfied that their visit had made a big difference in the marriages and families of the King’s people in South Africa.
They thanked the King for the programme he approved of among his people abroad and for all the advice contained in the bed that was loaded on their way.
Through their Chairman, Dr Sarah Nkonge, the women asked for the program to be expanded to other areas as they found many problems in the Nambi children’s homes in South Africa, but they could be solved after proper guidance.
The trip was attended by; Miss Agnes Kimbugwe; The Hon. Ann, It’s Fallen; The Hon. Jane Francis Lukwago, and other women. They were accompanied by Hon. Rashi Lukwago, one of the presenters at the Queen’s Square.
This is the first time the Buganda Women’s Conference has been taken outside Buganda, and the women hope that the event will help strengthen the families and marriages of Bugandans living abroad, as well as help them with child support.
