Africa: Limpopo MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Ms Thandi Moraka, is happy with the preparations and readiness of the Miss Heritage Global Pageant, which will take place in Thohoyandou, Vhembe District, on Saturday, 24 September 2022.
Miss Heritage Global is an international pageant with a focus on celebrating the heritage and the diverse cultures of the world.
The pageant promotes unity in cultural diversity, and it has established its global footprint and brand in 80 countries all over the world. The pageant has also created a new generation of young women who are proud of their roots, culture and heritage.
South Africa will be represented by 28 years old Zabelo Hlabisa, who was born in the heart of KwaZulu Natal in Nkandla. Zabelo, who holds a degree in Office Management and Technology from the Durban University of Technology, is a Philanthropist who is currently running her own modelling school.
Zabelo believes life is all about choices you make, and these choices determine our destination as human beings.
“I stand for self-development and well-being of a girl child, which is why I started a modelling school, and doing the Sanitary towels drive camping in our rural schools. I am an ambassador of our country, and it is my responsibility to make sure that the world gets to know what South Africa is made of through me and my craft. I’ve been working very hard to make sure that I deliver this title for each and every South African,” says Zabelo.
Miss Heritage Global 2022 will see over 35 national queens from different countries all over the world travelling to compete for the title.
“This is a great and proud moment for Limpopo Province and the country to host such an important event. This pageantry is a vehicle for promoting Nation Building and Social Cohesion. I would also like to wish Zabelo Hlabisa, who is representing the country, to go all out and deliver the title for us. Her achievement will help all of us, especially young women from our rural communities.” concludes MEC Moraka.
