South Africa: The Special Support Group (SSG) personnel hosted a farewell reception for the retired Selinah Moabi in Gaborone yesterday (06/12/2022). Ms Moabi was a member of the Support staff working as a cook at SSG, Gaborone.
When bidding her farewell, Commander SSG, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police, Lesitamang Moshabi, thanked Ms Moabi for the exceptional work and dedication she displayed during her 31 years of continuous service, saying she was an extraordinary being.
He described her as a team player who was loyal, hardworking and effective in everything she did.
Mr Moshabi noted that the contribution made by Ms Moabi to the Botswana Police Service (BPS) left an indelible mark on the organisation.
He observed that humility was part of Ms Moabi’s DNA, adding that her behavioural attributions attest to that. Mr Moshabi advised her to enjoy her new chapter in a life filled with good health and relaxation, encouraging her to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The Commander further urged her to continue lifting the BPS flag wherever she goes and to support the Police in the fight against crime by participating in crime prevention activities in her locality.
For her part, the ever-smiling Ms Moabi thanked SSG personnel for their support and undying love, which immensely contributed to her successful career.
As a token of appreciation for her outstanding duties in the kitchen, which spans over three decades, the SSG personnel voluntarily dug deeper into their pockets and bought her some life-changing tokens ranging from state of an art chicken cage, 100 chicken layers, medication, including equipment and training by the supplier, to mention but a few. In addition, she received a donation of cash amounting to over P7 000.00.
It will not be surprising that Ms Moabi will, in the near future, be counted as one of the successful Ramotswa business woman.
Botswana Police Service wishes you a prosperous life, MME Moabi!!!
