Zambia: Chipolopolp Camp awaits tripe C to complete the squad as the squad holds its first session on Monday evening.
All but one of the 25 players summoned for duty have reported for duty in the United Arab Emirates for two international friendly matches in Dubai.
Prison Leopards defender Zephaniah Phiri became the latest arrival, bringing the number to 24, with only Clatous Chama being awaited later in the day.
Chama is on his way to Dubai after having featured for his club in a league match before heeding the national call up.
The Chipolopolo play Egypt on Thursday at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in the first of two international friendly matches during the FIFA window. Coach Avram Grant’s charges will wind up the assignment next Tuesday in a clash against Uganda at the same venue.
The friendly matches are part of preparations for the November back-to-back FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Congo Brazzaville and Niger.

Locals are excited and sharing their excitement and nervousness through comments and interviews. One of the locals said, “The defence is porous, starting from the goal keeping to the defenders. There is too much porousness. It is high time for the grant to move around the country to look for other defenders to solidify the defence. Otherwise, with this kind of defence, ku Afcon will end up crying. Midfield and striking force, we are there but not defence.”
“I would love Triple C not to be coming for national call-ups. Why would he be always eating bench as if he is not a quality player. If Avram has nothijmng for him let him stop calling him,” said other user.
