Botswana: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Botswana has participated in a campaign to clean the bosele area for children in Bosele region. The inititaive was hosted in collaboration with the local development committee and district councilor Mpule Maplanka.

The City Council of Gaborone has shared some glimpses from the event. The social media post also shared some important aspects of the initiatives that the government has taken up for the benefit of the people.

The city council aimed to sensitize the people of bosele area to the importance of maintaining clean and prestine surroundings.

Chairman of the education and health committee of Gaborone councilor who is also the councilor of Governors Phuthego Modise, thanked JCI members as he said when the only council couldn’t manage Gaborone and promoted so to businesses and organizations to always contribute to help in the districts they work in.

Phuthego continued to encourage Bosele residents to clean their lives and a clean environment promotes a strong health. He also recalled that residents tried their best to have some days in the month left behind when they met with the development committee to clean up their environment.

The organizations’ have made a joint commitment to make the bosele area better in all regards. Accordingly, Mpule Maplanka ezhe expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone who helped in cleaning the children’s park. The children’s park has already turned into a place where residents of the area throw trash. The place has become disgusting for the kids who play there.

Maplanka continued to ask residents of his district to be more careful in district care, to help protect the environment and inform lawmakers when they see anyone throwing trash away.

Explaining the commitment, Kebaeditse Magogwe, the JCI chairman in Gaborone, pointed out that the organization was committed to changing the districts they serve in so they were experienced. when the Eastern County needs a clean up.
