Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is all set to regain strength over the South African cruise market with some thrilling plans to connect travellers to and from Cape Town.
Recently, NCL has celebrated 57 years of its establishment and returned to South Africa for its second and longest season aboard the Norwegian Dawn.
NCL’s Vice President and Managing Director of Continental Europe, Middle East and Africa – Kevin Bubolz, said that the cruise line was thrilled to set sail once again in African waters after a successful 2022-23 cruise season out of Cape Town.
Bubolz explained that for the year 2024 they have elevated the deployment to new heights. “We are offering not one but two seasonal homeports, a myriad of roundtrip and open-jaw sailings and new NCL destinations across the continent.”
“It also includes the itineraries that not only whet our international and local guests’ appetites but also cement NCL as the only contemporary cruise line to provide such a rich selection of destinations, ports and homeports in the region,” said Kevin Bubolz.
During the NCL Cruise Ship’s exciting journeys to and from Cape Town, the travellers will get to explore extraordinary trips aboard the Norwegian Dawn. The cruise ship will boast an assortment of activities for all ages, accommodating 2340 guests.

A 12-day Cruise from Cape Town to Africa
The Cruise will depart from Cape Town on Feb 1, 2024 and will reach its final destination on Mar 8, 2024, visiting Gqeberha, Durban and Namibia.
The itinerary will start from R13,700 per person for an Ocean View Cabin and R22,400 per person for a Balcony Cabin.
A 12-day Cruise from Mauritius to Africa
The Cruise will deport from Port Louis, Mauritius on Feb 25, 2024. The ship will visit 8 ports in 12 days, including Reunion, Madagascar, Port Elizabeth, Mossel Bay, Richards Bay and Cape Town.
It will cost R22,742 per person for an Inside Cabin and R37,227 for a Balcony Cabin.
A 21-day Cruise from Cape Town to Africa
The Cruise will depart from Cape Town on March 20, 2024, and visit 12 ports in 21 days, including Namibia, Angola, Cote D’Ivoire, Ivory Coast, Senegal, the Canary Islands, and Spain.
The itinerary will cost R39,900 per person for an Ocean View Cabin.
