Nigeria: The popular Nigerian TV Series ‘The Johnsons’ has finally come to an end after 13 years. The show has served all Africans as one of the best family time TV series on Africa Magic, The TV Series.
The Johnson is all set to close its curtains after many years of fun-filled moments showing it on screens. The announcement about the show’s closure was revealed by comic actor Charles Inojie.
The Johnsons TV series was focused mainly on an average Nigerian family in Lagos and the challenges they face. Charles Inojie played the role of a patriarch as Johnson. The character is a scientist who is known as a spendthrift who usually confuses his family with his choice of words. The actor’s character later becomes a well-known scientist.
Inojie revealed on his Instagram handle on Monday and wrote,
“Thank You Africa, after 13 years of absolute magic, 13 years of awesomeness, 13 years of being Africa’s most watched show on television, 13 years of being every family’s favourite. The Johnsons is finally taking a bow.”
He tagged his co-stars and related officials such as Native Media TV, Africa Magic, Rogers of IME. He wrote, “I want to use this medium to say a big thank you to Rogers of IME, The Johnsons Family, Native Media TV and Africa Magic for the privilege of being #LuckyJohnson.
The actor added,
“I thank my co-travellers, the wonderful team of cast and crew, without whom these past 13 years could not have been spectacularly outstanding as The Johnsons made it.”
“I am immensely grateful to our fans across the African continent for the love and support we got unconditionally,” wrote Charles Inojie.
Inojie added to his greetings, “Indeed, while it is the beginning of greater exploits from every individual member of the team, like every good thing that must have a terminal point, it is the end of the road for The Johnsons.”
The producers and makers of the TV show are appreciated by the fans and other audiences for entertaining people for many years.
