Botswana: The Mayor of Gaborone City Council Austin Abraham met Miss Teen Icon Botswana Anke Lelentle Nkwe. The young pageanter is currently preparing to leave for the Miss Teen International.
The teen pageant competition is scheduled to be held in Cambodia in the upcoming weeks.`
The event is designed to highlight and promote the talents of the children aged between 13 years to 18 years. The event is hosted annually with participants from all over the world competing for the title.
The Mayor of Gaborone shared glimpses from the meeting on social media. He took the opportunity to extend his best wishes to the young woman gearing up to represent Botswana.
She will compete for the title of Miss Teen International with teenage beauties from across the globe. The mayor committed his support to the future endeavours of the young teenager who has been making the country proud.
The Mayor, Austin Abraham congratulated Miss Teen Icon for carrying the prestigious crown of the Botswanan pageant. He further wished her well regarding the upcoming Miss Icon International competitions.
During the meeting with the Mayor, the youngster accompanied Miss Teen Botswana Director Refilwe Senna. The Director was extremely happy to meet the Mayor alongside
Miss Teen Botswana Director Ms Refilwe Senna appreciated the City Mayor for finding time to meet with them in such a short notice. She extended her gratitude to the Mayor for his support and also called for all Batswana to show their solidarity towards the Miss Teen Icon.
She further urged companies and individuals to participate in sponsorships to help grow the pageantry industry in Botswana. The pageantry industry is an extremely important part of the country’s talent and entertainment sector.
The various pageants hosted by the country help develop confidence and grace in the country’s youngsters. Meanwhile, Miss Teen Icon Botswana Anke Lelentle Nkwe showed gratitude to the Mayor for his support.
The teenager also gave assurance to the mayor that she would do her artistic best to secure the crown.
