Cape Town: The Premier of Western Cape, Alan Winde, celebrated his 59th birthday on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the charity home Fountain of Hope NPO in Chicago, Paarl. At the NGO, the Western Cape Premier Candidate for the year 2024 donated a fridge in collaboration with Hisense household supplies and helped prepare meals for the community.
After doing the good deed, the Premier of Western Cape was obliged and shared a heartfelt note on every possible social media platform such as Facebook, X and LinkedIn. Alan Winde wrote, “I was thrilled to share some of my birthday celebrations at the Fountain of Hope NPO in Chicago, Paarl.”

In the note, Winde mentioned, “We donated a fridge with Hisense and helped prepare meals for the community.”
The Premier of Western Cape further added that, “It’s a reminder that giving back is the best gift.”
Along with the note, Alan Winde shared pictures of him with the people of Fountain of Hope NPO in which their happy faces can be seen during the celebration.
Premier Alan Winde has handed over a refrigerator, donated by Hisense Southern Africa to the Fountain of Hope in Paarl East.

The NPO has been working in the community for the past six years and helping vulnerable residents through various projects that included uplifting community initiatives, a soup kitchen and health interventions.
Alan Winde was joined by Director-General of the Western Cape Government -Dr Harry Malila and Deputy General Manager of Hisense Southern Africa – Luna Nortje.
Known by the name Alan Richard Winde, the Premier of Western Cape was born and brought up in Knysna, on March 18, 1965 to Ingrid and William Dave Winde.
Alan Winde is a renowned South African politician and businessman. He is the eighth and current Premier of the Western Cape, who hold the position in 2019.

He has been a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament since 1999 and is a member of the Democratic Alliance. The minister attended and matriculated from Knysna High School.
After his schooling, Winde tried his hand in many small businesses that specialised in printing, selling bicycles, courier services and boat parts in Knysna. Later, he dropped the idea of starting his own business but started working as a business consultant for Aldes Business Brokers, which is a South African Top-100 Company.
Considering Alan Winde’s political career, he ran as an independent candidate and was elected to the South Cape District Council in 1996. Earlier, he has also served as a councillor for the Outeniqua Rural Council.
