South Africa: The bus driver was assaulted during a road rage incident in the Verulam CBD – KZN. The accident happened in the afternoon hours of Friday. The occupants of a Toyota Etios were responsible for assaulting another man.
The reaction officers were called to a service station on George Sewpersad Street after the assault happened. The call was made by one of the witnesses of the incident. The witness reported that the people who severely assaulted the man were occupants of a red Toyota Etios.
A team of Reaction officers was dispatched to the scene at Verulam CBD who arrived at assaultthe service station at approximately 16:28. Further, the reaction officers talked to the driver of the bus who was assaulted. He explained that several males confronted him as he entered the service station.
They began assaulting him with their fists and accused him of driving recklessly. The conductor in the bus informed the officers that two of the men were in possession of rifles.

The suspects sped off before the officers from the reaction unit could come to scene. The victim sustained open wounds to his face but declined medical attention.
The members of the reaction unit are looking for the suspects in the vicinity of the Central Business District. The officials have shared that the bus driver has urged the members of the reaction unit to find the offenders.
The people of the country have also expressed their anger and disappointment on the incident. One of the social media users who came forward to express their dissatisfaction used some strong words to register her anger.
