Cape Town to arrange Mobile Office services at Delft South Hall

The customers can engage with the City of Cape Town on a wide range of enquiries ranging from rates, sewerage, electricity, water, refuse collections and all other account enquiries.

Mobile Office of City of Cape Town will be at the Delft South Hall on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewerage, electricity, water, refuse collections and all other account enquiries will be availed too.

Reportedly, the residents are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity.

According to the Member of the Mayoral Committee for Corporate Services – Alderman Theresa Uys said that the mobile team of city’s customer relations department will assist the residents with logging queries and service requests electronically.

The customers can engage with the City of Cape Town on a wide range of enquiries ranging from rates, sewerage, electricity, water, refuse collections and all other account enquiries.

Alderman Uys further added that taking the services of City of Cape Town Mobile Office to Delft South is their way of showing that they are committed to bring services to residents and make the local government more accessible to all.

Moreover, those who will be visiting the officials at the Delft South Hall must remember to bring along their ID or municipal accounts to help in easing the process.

As per the sources, the Mobile Office of City of Cape Town travels to various areas of the city to provide services where there are no permanent structures built.

Delft South Hall is one of the selected places by City of Cape Town for Mobile Office. There are several community centres in Cape Town. Many of them considered to have large halls that are ideal for public functions or private hire.

Notably, Delft South Hall is a popular community recreation hub, that is available with a venue for private functions and recreational programmes such as kickboxing and basketball during the week.

Mobile Office is an ‘office on wheels’ that travels across Cape Town, by taking the housing services to tenants in rental units in areas where there are no permanent housing offices.

The mobile office has been operating since 2017 and since then it has logged thousands of housing related queries on behalf of CRU tenants.

Additionally, the general housing enquires the mobile office assistants with, completing the lease agreements, general enquiries, housing database queries and new applications, logging service requests on behalf of tenants, to make arrangements for rental accounts in arrears and rent relief applications.
