The Prime Minister shared that he had an extremely good experience witnessing the final day of the competition. The competition was won by King Drewzy after a remarkable performance on an original song.
Big Lice and Queen Independent were the runners up in the contest and have been popular among the calypso lovers. The officials have shared that the event was also attended by the Minister of Creative Economy, Samal Duggins.
The office of the Ministry of Creative Economy is responsible for hosting the National Carnival. With the 53rd edition of the game nearly to its end, the Prime Minister applauded all the stakeholders responsible for this success.
The Prime Minister, who posed with the winners of the Senior Calypso Monarch Competition, also applauded other participants. One of the contestants, who made it to the final, Singing Jackie, sang her original song, it’s been 50 years.
The song was a reflection of the artist’s five long decades of contributions. Dr Terrance Drew thanked her and extended his hartfelt best wishes to Singing Jackie, for her remarkable contribution to the Calypso industry.
On the other hand, the people of St Kitts and Nevis have also taken the opportunity to share their pride and congratulate the winners of the competition. The second runner up for the Senior Calypso Monarch 2024, Queen Independent was the winner in the 2023 edition of the contest.
