Dominica: Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit wishes Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on his Birthday. He appreciated the leader and praised him for his strong leadership in developing the long-standing partnership between India and Dominica.
PM Skerrit said that Narendra Modi has established himself as a global leader and statesman. He has highlighted warm and friendly relations, by commending his contributions towards strengthening the bilateral ties.
Skerrit has extended greetings by sharing an official video on social media platform on his 75th birthday. In the video he is wishing the Indian Prime Minister and said that Dominica and India are enjoying a warm and friendly relations.
He praised Narendra Modi for being a Global leader, Statesman and for Leading of the Global South in the whole world.

PM Skerrit also mentioned about meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier during the second India CARICOM summit, held in Guyana last year.
Skerrit also showered light on the opportunity he had to confer the highest national award of Dominica upon PM Modi of India. He was recognised for showing his support to Dominica during the Covid-19 pandemic period.
The honour was also signified the general contributions that strengthened India’s relation with Dominica.
While appreciating and extending his wishes to the Indian Prime Minister, Skerrit stressed that the world needs Prime Minister Modi’s leadership at present, more than ever. He confirmed that both the nations will continue to develop their bond for coming years.
He concluded his wishes by giving best regards to the leader and people of India.

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi was born on Sept 17, 1950 and was brought up in Vadnagar village of Gujarat. He is serving as PM of India since 2014.
Maintaining strong relations with Dominica, India supplied 70,000 doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, in February 2021 under Modi’s leadership. The aid helped Dominica in its vaccination drive and also supported other Caribbean nations.
To accolade this, Dominica rewarded highest national award, the ‘Dominica Award of Honour’. This recognition further acknowledged the support provided by India to Dominica in various sectors such as; healthcare, education, IT and climate resilience and sustainable development initiatives.
