St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew extended greetings to Prime Minister Mia Mottley and the Barbados Labour Party on their victory. He congratulated them on the behalf of the Government and people of the nation for this great achievement.
Reportedly, Prime Minister Mia Mottley and Barbados Labour Party has consecutively secured the third term general elections, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 and has returned to the office.
Greeting her PM Drew of St. Kitts and Nevis has shared a congratulatory post and said that this outcome reflects the confidence of the people of Barbados in Mia Mottley’s leadership and vision to develop the nation. He commended her continued dedication to advance the interests of their country. He said that this is a great achievement as they are looking forward to working together towards strengthening unity within the Caribbean Community, widely known as CARICOM.
As a newly elected Chairman of CARICOM, Dr. Drew also stated that they are further looking forward to deepening the strong bond between the two nations. He is positive that, the two countries will endure this diplomatic relation for coming future.
Along with this, St. Kitts and Nevis and Barbados will continue to strengthen their ties within the CARICOM. They will keep alive the spirit of friendship, mutual respect and shared progress. Drew wished Mottley continued success and her service to the people of Barbados.
As per the sources, people of Barbados voted across 30 constituencies on the election day. Barbados Labour Party (BLP) delivered a decisive victory and secured all seats and defeated the opposition Democratic Labour Party (DLP) out of the Parliament.
People of Barbados showed their support to BLP wearing red and took their celebration to streets and gathered at the Grantley Adams House. There, Prime Minister Mia Mottley officially announced that Friday will be observed as a national holiday upon their win.
PM Mottley of Barbados is regarded as a strong figure and as one of the most articulate political leaders in the Caribbean. She is a popular personality within the region and at international level.
