This extends a hand of support to vulnerable members of society while promoting inclusion and empowerment.
The initiative underscores the continued commitment of the Authority to corporate social responsibility and community engagement. While this will also foster the spirit of solidarity, empowerment and shared progress among women.
International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 08. It is a global day that recognise the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The theme for the year 2026 was “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls.”
This mainly focuses on accelerating gender equality. It serves as a call to action for accelerating gender parity, highlighting ongoing challenges, and advocating for women’s rights.
It was first held in 1911 and originated from labour movements in Europe and North America. It was officially recognised by the United Nations in 1975. This celebrates women’s achievements. Along with this it also raises awareness about gender inequality, and promote equal rights in areas such as work, safety, and leadership.
