St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew has reaffirmed the commitment of his government to visible and tangible development. He urged citizens to focus on measurable progress rather than public criticism and misinformation.
In a recent address, Drew acknowledged what he described as “noise” and attempts to mislead the public but stressed that genuine progress cannot be concealed.
According to him, impact of the work by Labour Government is evident across communities and in the daily lives of citizens. He emphasised that in less than half of its term, the administration has transitioned from planning stages to active delivery of key national projects.
The Prime Minister pointed to ongoing infrastructure and social development initiatives, including the construction of homes, improvements in road networks, enhanced water supply systems, and the expansion of educational facilities. He noted that these developments are not abstract promises but real changes that citizens can see and experience first-hand
Drew further highlighted that the economic benefits are also becoming more apparent, with workers earning more and families receiving greater support.
In a video clip shared on his official social media platform, PM Dew reinforced his message by inviting citizens to witness the progress themselves. He cited the development of the Basseterre High School as a key example of the delivery efforts by the government.
He clearly said in the video that, “But in less than half the term and half the time, this Labour government is delivering the Basseterre High School.”
“I said the other day that we need a whole caravan. Put all of us in vehicles and let us drive around this country to see the projects. You could see the projects. Go by the hospital. Go by the school. Go by where the hotel is. Go all around St. Kitts to see what your government is delivering. because they’re talking as if nothing is being delivered to you here in St. Kitts and Nevis.”
PM Drew cited the development of the Basseterre High School as a key example of the government’s delivery efforts. He suggested that a nationwide tour would allow citizens to directly observe the scale of projects underway. This includes healthcare facilities, schools, and tourism-related developments.
Prime Minister Drew further acknowledged the administration and signalled towards continued development efforts in the coming months ahead. He reiterated the sustained progress, improved infrastructure and expanded opportunities that remained central to the agenda of the government for St. Kitts and Nevis.
