Kenya: Ababu Namwamba, Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports took the initiative to encourage the creative youngsters who are representing Kenya in the Surajkund Mela. A team of creatives has been banded together for the international event, currently being hosted in Faridabad India.

The team is receiving the best wishes of the officials of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy et al. The officials have entrusted the team with representing their country well on the international platform.

The team was invited to the Talanta Plaza, Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Creative Economy. The Ministry extended their best wishes to the people of the country

As they were Welcomed to the Ministry, the team was taken on a tour through the Hall of Fame. In the Hall of Fame, Kenya’s Legendary and Iconic names in the Sports and Creative sectors are honoured.

The Ministry acknowledged the part that the government of India played in arranging the creatives’ trip. The Ministry also helped credited the Cabinet Secretary of the  Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Creative Economy, Ababu Namwamba.

They created the visionary leadership of Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba in partnership with the Indian Government, has made it possible to create a platform for talented artists to attend the 37th edition of the Surajkund International Mela—an exhibition of crafts set amidst the landscape of Faridabad.

The immense opportunity before them, was highlighted to be significant hence the need to represent Kenya on a global stage.

Jane Atudo, a retired assistant director of culture in the country, represented the team of creatives departing for the international event. The team expressed gratitude to the ministry led by Cabinet Secretary Namwamba. “We are going to represent Kenya,” she affirmed, “and let us be disciplined ambassadors of our nation.”
