South Africa: Africa Weather Forecast launched their climate summary in which they reported that Cloudy at first in the east with a medium chance of isolated thunderstorms over the central parts on Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by calm and hot skies across the majority of the country on Thursday and Friday, only to be capped by thunderstorms in the west and central interior during the weekend (more so on Sunday).
MONDAY:Â It is cloudy in places over the eastern provinces at first, while morning fog patches shroud northeastern KwaZulu-Natal and eastern Mpumalanga most of today. Otherwise, the rest of the country will remain fine and warm.
TUESDAY:Â Slightly windy in parts of central Northern Cape and eastern Free State, with a medium chance of light showers in the far southwest near Cape Town as a weak double-pronged cold front moves into the country. The central interior will be fine at first but becoming partly cloudy with a medium chance of isolated thunderstorms over the central parts around midday, precipitating very light rainfall, if any at all and moving east where there is a low chance of afternoon thunderstorms.
WEDNESDAY:Â Predominantly fine at first but becoming partly cloudy with a medium chance of afternoon showers and thundershowers in Mpumalanga and southern Limpopo, low in northern Gauteng. Very hot in the northeast but partly cloudy, with a medium chance of light rainfall in the far southwest.
THURSDAY:Â Extremely low chance of isolated storms in the far east. Otherwise, fine and warm to hot with a medium chance of strong winds over the southern Northern Cape.
FRIDAY:Â The first Cut-Off Low wave is expected to produce a weak cold front in the west on Friday, and with it, a medium chance of light rainfall in the far southwest and south coast and strong winds not exceeding 40km/h over southern Northern Cape around midday.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY:Â Intensification of the Cut-Off Low will lead to widespread showers and thundershowers mainly over the Eastern Cape but including KwaZulu-Natal, Free State, Northern Cape and Western Cape on Saturday but more intense and spreading wider on Sunday. Medium chance of strong winds over the Cape interior on Sunday.
