TUESDAY: Slightly windy in parts of central Northern Cape and eastern Free State, with a medium chance of light showers in the far southwest near Cape Town as a weak double-pronged cold front moves into the country. The central interior will be fine at first but becoming partly cloudy with a medium chance of isolated thunderstorms over the central parts around midday, precipitating very light rainfall, if any at all and moving east where there is a low chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

WEDNESDAY: Predominantly fine at first but becoming partly cloudy with a medium chance of afternoon showers and thundershowers in Mpumalanga and southern Limpopo, low in northern Gauteng. Very hot in the northeast but partly cloudy, with a medium chance of light rainfall in the far southwest.

THURSDAY: Extremely low chance of isolated storms in the far east. Otherwise, fine and warm to hot with a medium chance of strong winds over the southern Northern Cape.

FRIDAY: The first Cut-Off Low wave is expected to produce a weak cold front in the west on Friday, and with it, a medium chance of light rainfall in the far southwest and south coast and strong winds not exceeding 40km/h over southern Northern Cape around midday.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY: Intensification of the Cut-Off Low will lead to widespread showers and thundershowers mainly over the Eastern Cape but including KwaZulu-Natal, Free State, Northern Cape and Western Cape on Saturday but more intense and spreading wider on Sunday. Medium chance of strong winds over the Cape interior on Sunday.
