Nigeria: Singer Burna Boy and Byron Messia made a new song Talibans II, produced by Ej Fya, Spaceship Billy and Ztekk Records, is the latest collaboration to add in the music playlist.
As per the sources, Jamaican-born, and St. Kitts and Nevis based Dancehall artist Byron Messia featured African Giant – Burna Boy on his hit song Talibans and tagged it as ‘II’.
The song is a fusion of dancehall, reggae, Afrobeat and pop, in which Burna Boy emerges in the early part of the 2010s as one of Nigeria’s fastest-rising stars. His international exposure has got widened with 2018s release Outside, which hit the number three on the Billboard Reggae chart and also won the Nigeria Entertainment Award for the category Album of the Year.
Reportedly, 2019s African Giant and 2020s Twice as Tall were both widely acclaimed and charted in several countries. Burna Boy returned a year later with the single Killin Dem, a collaboration with Zlatan, along with additional singles such as Dangote and On the Low, which were later included on his fourth album, African Giant. The LP was nominated in the Best World Music Album category of the 62nd Grammy Awards, too.
Considering his achievements he received in August 2020, Burna Boy issued the full-length Twice as tall, which became his highest charting album to date, while reaching number 54 on the Billboard 200, faring even better in Europe and Canada. It then, went on to win a Grammy Award for the category Best Global Music Album.
African legend, Burna performed a total sold-out concert at the Madison Square Garden in April 2022, and became the first Nigerian artist to crack the headline and make the show at the famed New York venue.
The night of April 28, 2022 was led by the Toni Braxton-sampling hit Last Last, his sixth album, Love, Damini, was released on July 02 at his 31st birthday. After that the year 2023 brought his collaboration with J Balvin named Rollercoaster and the solo single Sittin’ on Top of the World.
