The Australian High Commission in South Africa introduced their two award-winning recipients from Namibia, South Africa, Ishuna Niita Amakutsi and Steven S Kashekele. The recipients were awarded the Graeme Wilson Leadership Award for effective leadership.
Reportedly, the two recipients from Namibia are now all set to begin their further education at Australian Universities. Ishuna and Steven are ready to kick off their master’s at the most amazing Universities in Australia. They are also looking forward to getting more opportunities in the future.
Ishuni Niita is the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Mines and Energy. She has been pursuing her degree of master’s in Energy Systems. She will continue her studies at the University of Melbourne in Australia.
Steven S Kashakele is a Media Officer and well-known journalist at Namibia’s Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies. He will pursue his master’s degree in International Relations from one of the Universities of Australia, including Murdoch University/ Macquarie University and the University of Melbourne.
In negotiations with the Australian High Commissioner, Both scholars expressed their thoughts and viewpoints on choosing specific educational fields.
Ishuna Niita, while sharing her feelings said, “It is a new and exciting chapter which will provide great opportunities. I am looking forward to an incredible experience that will impact my professional and personal development.
It will offer new networks and new people with whom I can share my experiences and culture. I am looking forward to exploring Australia and learning about its rich history and heritage.”
While Steven Kashakele, while extending his thoughts said,” I believe in the fundamental use of the media to convey social justice for all. I am looking forward to learning from lecturers who have dedicated their careers to humanising international relations. This is a highly valued skill much desired by my government.”
