Botswana: The founder and CEO of Axxess, John Olajide and Nigeria Minister Ooni Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwuso of lle -Ife paid a courtesy call on Botswana President Mokgweetsi E.K.Masisi yesterday morning with his wife.

Botswana: The founder and CEO of Axxess, John Olajide and Nigeria Minister Ooni Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwuso of lle -Ife paid a courtesy call on Botswana President Mokgweetsi E.K.Masisi yesterday morning with his wife.

Axxess is the leading global home healthcare technology company based in the United States of America. Whilst Ooni Ogunwuso is heir to the throne of Oduduwa in lle Ife, making him the youngest monarch in Nigeria.

As the Ooni of Ife, he is also the spiritual leader of the entire Yuroba people. An Honorary Doctorate Degree holder in Law from the Igbinedion University and an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Ooni Ogunwuso is also the Chancellor of the University of Nigeria Nsukka.

Reports state that he is also renowned for being a transformative leader and an astute entrepreneur, and according to media reports, he is the fourth richest King in Nigeria.

This courtesy call comes as Botswana gears itself to interact further with potential investors in Nigeria at the slated, Invest in Botswana Breakfast Meeting to be held this week Wednesday in Abuja, Nigeria.

As part of its Economic Recovery and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) drive, Botswana looks poised to attract investors who can help it grow a diversified economy that is private sector-led.

The discovery of diamonds in 1966 and the prudent management of its mineral resources have given Botswana the boost to implement its National Development Plans over the years and thus improve the quality of life for its people by providing quality basic services in health, education and improved living standards.

When welcoming Olajide and His Majesty Ooni Ogunwuso, Minister Masisi said Botswana looks forward to having fruitful deliberation at Wednesday‘s Invest in Botswana Breakfast Meeting, and he thanked Mr Olajide for creating a platform where Botswana’s investment climate and opportunities can be discussed with a view of attracting Foreign Direct Investment into the country.

This courtesy call comes at a time when Nigeria is set to celebrate the Inauguration of His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Monday, 29th May 2023.
