Botswana: The Botswana Digital Innovation Hub has entered into a collaboration with UNICEF to host an inspiring coffee session. This event will feature more than 150 young entrepreneurs from across the island.  The event will be hosted in Maun for two days

The aim of the event is to provide the youngsters of the country with a platform to network, share ideas, and gain insights into the entrepreneurial world. The event was organized for the development of the entrepreneurial spirit among the people.

The Botswana Digital Innovation Hub wants to promote the business spirit among the youngsters of the country. The promotion of the business sector of Botswana  would give the economy of the nation a significant boost.

Dr Tiroyaone Tshukudu, the Acting Director of Innovation and Technology is extremely excited to be part of the initiative. He noted that such sessions should be convened on a regular basis for the youngsters of Botswana.

Talking further, he observed that such sessions are crucial for fostering a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among the youth. Dr. Tshukudu reassured attendees that this event is just the beginning for them.

He disclosed that they are planning to  continue these sessions in the region and take it across the entire country.

On the other hand, UNICEF Education Specialist, Leseka Mukokomani, announced a pivotal change in UNICEF’s policy. The age limit for participation in UNICEF’s programs in Botswana has been raised from 18 years to 30 years.

Previously, youngsters between the ages of 18-24 could participate in the programme. This change is expected to open doors for more young adults to benefit from UNICEF’s support and resources.

The coffee session is not only a networking opportunity but also a testament to the commitment of the Botswana Digital Innovation Hub and UNICEF to nurture the potential of Botswana’s youth.

The session will be hosted over the course of two days, starting today, May 16 and ending tomorrow on Friday.
