Botswana: Dato Seiko is a genre-fluid singer/songwriter who finds inspiration in all types of music genres. She is an AFDA degree holder majoring in Bachelor of Arts in Live Performance.

She made her debut performance in her formative years amongst a family of talented singers, singing from the front end and always easy to spot with her unique and captivating voice.

Dato Seiko thrives not on duality but more on the quadruple threat. She is a dynamic performer on the theatrical stage, a talented visual artist, vocalist of note.

She recently released her debut EP titled Grace Effect, which features major artists like Mpho Sebina and Thato Jessica. She prides herself on one of the major milestones of topping the Apple Music Alternative Charts over artists like Billie Eilish.


 

 


She went on to top music charts among local radio stations with her hot single ‘Phenyo Ke Yo,” which was (for the past couple of months) the second most listened to song after the national anthem.

Dato Seiko has managed to make her mark in the music industry as a melodical sensation, gracing prestigious like; Brunch with HE at the State House, BNYC AWARDS, MASCOM DERBY, DEBSWANA PRIDE MONTH, Joyous celebration LIVE IN BOTSWANA, Forbes 30 under 30, Sir Seretse Khama day celebration and many more.

She recently graced the Africa Day stage in South Africa, presented by BET and MTV, opened for Langa Mavuso and went as far as having her own first show at Leano Restaurant in Braamfontein in South Africa. Dato Seiko has been doing incredibly well in cementing herself in the music business, as she shared a stage with names like Msaki, KekeLingo, and Leomile and recently got Co-signed by Black Coffee.

Dato Seiko has also been recognized and featured in international magazines like Tha Native, British Vogue, Cosmopolitan SA, Hype Magazine SA and The Pinnacle SA.
It’s safe to say we have a sensation in the making that has become an inspiration to many and breaking the norm with her music.
