Botswana: Emtyre employee to attend 2023 Women in Mining Conference

Jwaneng, Botswana: Botswana based tyre company, Emtyre has highlighted the achievement of Lame Botho Pema in a recent post. The young woman is going to be one of the speakers at the 2023 edition of Women in Mining Conference. Currently working with the largest Tyre Company managed and staffed solely by the people of Botswana, she has significant experience in the field.

Emtyre have applauded the youngster for being chosen for the prestigious honor of sharing her story and experiences in the field of mining. She will be sharing her stories and learning alongside a number of remarkable, experienced speakers.

Lame Botho Pema is a qualified artisan boilermaker with 13 years experience. She is also a certified coded welder.

Previously, she has worked for companies like Debswana Jwaneng Mine Plants and Rural Industry Innovation Centre (RIIC). The company in question was based in manufacturing agricultural products and estate construction. The organization worked in sewage, road and civil constructions.

Lame is currently employed as a Tyre Technician at EMTYRE Specialists, a tyre management and repair company. She is the first woman in Southern Africa to work as a tyre repaire. She deals with OTR tyres (Off The Road) like dump trucks.

Lame is a mother of three (one girl and two boys). Her team at Emtyre has extended their best wishes to her for the work that she is going to do at the 2023 edition of Women in Mining Conference.

The conference is scheduled for two days, November 1 and 2, 2023. The Phakalane Golf Estate Hotel will serve as the venue for the event which runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The event is being held under the theme: A new force driving mining
