Botswana: Botswana Ministry of Defence and Security established an MDS team 40 to promote awareness and understanding of Vision 2036.
The MDS team aims to help them assess themselves and their departments/ authorities/ agencies/ divisions to determine what changes are needed to achieve exceptional performance.
They will work alongside their colleagues to ensure an environment conducive to change and provide regular feedback on MDS’s progress toward the Ministry’s contributions to the attainment of Vision 2036.

Team MDS also established a Men Sector Committee to improve men’s workplace relations and productivity needs. This will enable the Ministry to mainstream men’s issues in the workplace.
This is an internal and external approach to providing guidance, support, and a safe space for men in the workplace to speak, share, learn, and offload.
The committee’s mandate includes:
support male employees in any effort they make to improve themselves professionally
identify men’s educational and training needs
raising awareness on issues affecting men in the workplace
provide a safe environment for men to discuss current workplace, community, and personal issues
connect men with other men to build support networks in the workplace.
The structure will build self-esteem amongst employees and improve service delivery.
