Botswana: Botswana President Mokgweetsi Masisi attended the 2023 Global Expo, which BITC hosted in collaboration with the European Union at Ditshupo Hall.
The innovative ideas inspired President Masisi after meeting with their entrepreneurs.
President Masisi said, “I’m inspired by the innovative ideas & passionate entrepreneurs I’ve met today. Botswana’s future is bright, and it’s clear that we are at the forefront of a Mindset change & growth.”
Further, Masisi encouraged all to explore the event more, engage in meaningful conversations, and embrace global business possibilities.
He also thanked BITC, the participants, and the EU for their collaboration in order to make the event a success.
As promised in our 2019 BDP Manifesto, my Government will continue working relentlessly to transform Botswana into a Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and exhibitions hub while making Botswana an attractive investment destination to help drive our country’s growth, said Masisi.

Global Expo Botswana (GEB) is the country’s premier International multi-sectoral business-to-business exhibition that Botswana International Trade Center manages on behalf of the Government of Botswana.
The Expo offers a platform to connect with manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers worldwide, presenting a wide range of products such as electronics, appliances, furniture, agriculture, jewellery, fashion, etc.
The Expo aims to promote investment opportunities in Botswana and encourage Joint Venture Partnerships between citizens and foreign exhibitors.
The Expo, which was officially opened by the President of the Republic of Botswana, Dr. Mokgweetsi E.K. Masisi, will run from 11-14 October 2023 at Fairgrounds, Gaborone.
The theme for this year is “AfCFTA as a springboard for improved intra-Africa trade”.
