Botswana: Botswana Prison Service is proud to have been part of the Botswana International University of Science and Technology’s 8th Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2023.

Botswana Prison Service sponsored the Top Achiever in BEng Industrial and Mechanical Engineering. The graduant was awarded a cheque of P10, 000 and a trophy for his exceptional achievement.

As one of the valuable stakeholders, the Prison Service also exhibited its products and services at the University for a week as a build up to the graduation ceremony which was held yesterday at Palapye.

The collaboration between the two institutions commits both parties to focus more on areas of interest particularly works and infrastructure, manufacturing, modernized agriculture, information technology, research, statistical analysis and capacity building.

Through the partnership the Prison Service is determined to improve its strategies and re-engineer internal business processes supporting provision of safe custodial care and correction to offenders.

The ceremony was held under the theme: “Re-setting, Re-adjusting, Re-claiming, Driving Change Through Science, Technology & Entrepreneurship.
