Botswana Red Cross Society Stimulation Centers, Tshimlologo and Sefhare Stimulation Centres students are on an educational tour in Kasane. The organization wants the youngsters to engage in practical use of their knowledge. The official social media page of the Botswana Red Cross Society shared some glimpses from the excursion.
In the images which the officials shared, the children were seen engaging with fellow students and friends. The children were given the chance to work on their skills and talents. During the educational tour, the children involved in several activities, including:
game viewing at the Chobe National Park,
boat cruise,
tour of the Kazungula Bridge,
a visit to the snake park
The authorities at Kasane welcomed the delegation and students from the Red Cross Society for the tour with warmth. The other students and stakeholders of the Red Cross Society have also appreciated the authorities for organizing the tour.
This excursion has been of note for the students who got the opportunity to travel to Kasane for the educational experience. It aligns with the vision of the Botswana Red Cross Society as they believe that learning is not only confined to the four walls of the classroom. The best learning takes place when students interact with nature to afford them a practical experience.
The various social media users expressed their delight in seeing the students get significant learning opportunities. Meanwhile, some students also expressed their disappointment over missing out on the trip.
In addition to educating the children, the health of the people of Botswana is also an important mandate of the Red Cross Society. The organization has been working for the betterment of the Botswanan society for several years.
The Society regularly engages in community healthcare initiatives, health walks and awareness campaigns. Last week, the representatives of the red cross society participated in the Kweneng District Health Team for the Walk For Life Campaign.
The campaign was initiated under the directive of Botswana Minister of Health Dr Edwin Dikoloti on Sunday 15th October.
