Cape Town: The City of Cape Town is hosting twenty-one events that are going to take place this February. Cape Town’s February fiesta will include a vibrant calendar of sports, arts, entertainment and business events.
The city is continuously taking advantage of the summer season with coming events during the month of love. Cape Town is providing support to at least 21 events taking place in the Mother City this month.
The Member of the Mayoral Committee for Safety and Security – Alderman JP Smith said that Cape Town’s events calendar is picking up where it left off in January with yet another bumper month.
Collectively, the event organisers are expecting a well turnout of over 100,000 and possibly more, at the event.
JP Smith added that this is fantastic for Cape Town as it feeds into the local economy, with many of the people flying down for these events spending money on local businesses. Also, it is an opportunity to promote the city as a premier event and tourism destination.
Reportedly, South Africa’s biggest social sport and lifestyle event ‘Cape Town 10s’ has already begun on Friday, Feb 02, 2024. The two-day festival will feature six sporting codes including rugby, netball, dodgeball, padel, water-polo and 5km charity run on Saturday morning.
Participants will also get to experience 15 live music performances across three different stages. The musical acts will be presented by Jack Parow, Spoegwolf, Fokofpolisiekar, and DJ PH.
KKKA Kaapse Klopse Competitions will also take place at the Athlone Stadium on Saturday, Feb 3, 2024.
On Sunday, Feb 4, 2024 the City Hall will host the annual SA United Xmas Band Competition. Other than these, more other events will be held in February month such as:

- Feb 24 – Seafood & Jazz Festival
- Feb 25 – Free Athlone Nantes Concert
