Cape Town International Airport (CTIA) has been recognized with the title of Best Airport in Africa, continuously for the ninth year. Along with this, it has also been rewarded as the Best Airport Staff Service in Africa for the fourth consecutive year.
Reportedly, the prestigious award offers courtesy of the Skytrax World Airline and Airport Star Rating programme, which is globally marked as the gold standard in airline and airport service quality awards.
Member of the Mayoral Committee for the Economic Growth and Tourism of Cape Town – James Vos extended their wishes and said, “Congrats to Cape Town International Airport for winning Best Airport in Africa 9th time in a row at the 2024 Skytrax Awards!”

Premier of Western Cape – Alan Winde also extended his wishes and said, “Congratulations to Cape Town International Airport for being recognised as the Best Airport in Africa – again!”
He added that the tourism is a key enabler of jobs and opportunity and this is a world-class airport with the entry point for the visitors to our province for both domestically and abroad.
Alan Winde further added to his wishes, “I am so proud of the team at CTIA. Awards like this, are the result of hard work and dedication. It is a collective effort by everyone at the airport.”

With their plans to double the number of visitors by the year 2035, the accolades from CTIA do not just win, but they are rocket fuel for the tourism and economic engines.
