Cape Town: Member of the Mayoral Committee for Economic Growth and Tourism – Alderman James Vos announced the launch of brand-new performing arts brochure of the City of Cape Town.
James Vos shared the glimpses of the event on his official social media handle and acknowledged the celebration of the launch. He considered Friday, August 22, 2025 as a personal highlight. He said, “Today was a personal highlight for me as we launched the City’s brand-new performing arts brochure at the historic St. George’s Cathedral.”
Vos said that it was designed specially by the Destination Marketing Unit in his Economic Development and Tourism Department. According to him, this guide is a celebration of vibrant performing arts scene of the Cape Town.

Reportedly, the launch itself was a feast for the senses, with soulful unplugged sets and a rich variety of musical performances filling the cathedral with energy and creativity.
The new performing arts brochure shines a spotlight on the theatres, live music, venues and community stages, positioning the arts as a powerful driver of tourism, culture and local pride.
The launch event showcased the talent of the City of Cape Town, considering which, James Vos said that they are not only enriching the visitor experience but also creating more opportunities for Capetonians to benefit from a growing tourism economy.
