Cape Town: The city is completely booked for the month of March as it will be observing a plethora of events such as the Cape Town Cycle Tour, Open Book Festival Youth Fest, Cape Town Carnival and the Cape Town Surf Pro.
The Mother City of South Africa will be conducting all these events during the weekend from March 01, 2024, to March 03, 2024.
As per the sources, the Southern Mail Wynberg Family Festival has begun and gets the month of the events with three days of live music, carnival rides, delicious food, treats and more.
The event will keep the audiences entertained until Sunday at Maynardville Park with the live performances from Jarrad Rickketts, Amy Jones, Mark Haze, Sons of Salessie, Berry Trytsman and DJ Ashton Parenzee.
The Member of the Mayoral Committee for Safety and Security – Alderman JP Smith said that the Events Permit Office is anticipating to permit over 60 events of varying sizes for the month of March.
Moreover, this weekend, the officials will have their hands full as they will monitor no less than 26 events.
Alderman Smith also said “We encourage residents and visitors to go out and support the events. As the City, we are enthused by the many event organisers who choose Cape Town.”
JP Smith admitted that they will continue to play their role as an enabler for the events industry whether through funding, logistical support or regulation through the permitting process.
In the evening, at the Kenilworth Racecourse, Revellers will witness some of the world’s top electronic dance music DJs that will perform at Ultra South Africa.
Ultra South Africa promises to be an electrifying and thrilling experience as it will observe the stage performances from Skrillex, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, Vintage Culture, W&W, Shimza and Kyle Watson.
More than 300 martial artists will be participating in the 2nd Africa Youth Kung fu Championships that will be conducted on Saturday, March 02, 2024 at the Fairbairn Colege in Goodwood.
The Cape Town Ramadaan & Lifestyle Expo will showcase a three-day exhibition that will display the food, culture and wares of the Muslim community, in Pinelands. The expo will be held at the Oude Molen Technical High School from Mar 01, 2024, until Sunday.
