The other vaccinations and services that will also be available to the children include Vitamin A, Deworming and Nutrition assessment.

Chinsoto made these remarks during the Epidemic Preparedness Meeting in Chasefu district when he was talking to the stakeholders. He highlighted the importance of the vaccination drive in protecting the children.

The vaccines build the children’s immunity for potentially life threatening diseases and ensure that they can lead a healthy life. He also addressed several misconceptions about the vaccinations and urged parents to move past such issues.

He suggested that the parents should get in touch with some doctors to learn more about childhood immunisation.

He asserted that parents should ensure that the child receives all recommended vaccines. This way, they can protect the child from diseases, but also protect the community by ensuring herd immunity.
