Bulawayo, Zimbabwe: The City of Bulawayo announced the extension of the Christmas celebrations in the park. The Christmas celebration will continue at the City Hall Car Park and Centenary Park till 02 Jan 2024.

The festivity is sponsored by the City of Bulawayo, Christmas in Bulawayo, Nova Inflatables, Cybertrust Services (Pvt) Ltd in Excellence, Kiddo Land – The Kids Fun Factory and TADS
Earlier, the City of Bulawayo issued an official notice signed by the Town Clerk of Bulawayo – Christopher Dube, regarding the Christmas festivities that happened this year at the Centenary and Central Parks that included various other wards of the city.
As per the notice, it has been a practice over the years to organise functions or entertainment in the Parks. The activities are organised to mark the approach of the festive season in order to create a joyous mood among the citizens or communities of Bulawayo at the time of Christmas.
Reportedly, the City of Bulawayo has invited church members, upcoming artists, individuals and other community associations who were interested in performing in front of the public and were ready to participate in the 2023 Christmas Festivities in the Parks.
The officials expressed that a variety of programmes were arranged and suggested that majorly included choirs, drama, poetry, band music and community that sang, among other forms of entertainment.
In the notice, it was mentioned that the activities would be extended to the ward level and various organisations were invited to participate in the City-wide programme.
“Any group wishing to organise events of this nature should please indicate the day of the week, their time and where they would like to stage the entertainment to the office of the Town Clerk,” included the notice.
The City of Bulawayo also invited the organisations to groom their premises and surroundings and urged them to keep the city clean.
